Increlex 10mg Important information

Increlex injection should not be given to a child who has cancer, or a child who has finished growing (the bone growth plates are closed).

 

What is Increlex 10mg injection used for?

 
Increlex 10mg contains mecasermin, a recombinant human insulin-like growth factor 1 (rh-IGF-1) and is indicated for the long-term treatment of growth failure in children and adolescents aged from 2 to 18 years with confirmed severe primary insulin-like growth factor 1 deficiency (primary IGFD).

Increlex 10mg is not for use in children who have growth hormone deficiency, malnutrition, underactive thyroid, or those who are taking long-term steroid medications. Click here for more info

Before your child receives this medicine, tell the doctor if your child has diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, a curved spine (scoliosis), or if the child has ever had an allergic reaction to a preservative called benzyl alcohol.
